At the end of 2020, together with Research Action Design and Scaffold Exhibits and Consulting, we began a participatory design process engaging our volunteers, narrators, and community partners to help shape the goals, form and content of a multimedia exhibit documenting the 100-year history of Rikers and activating the stories in our archive. The multimedia exhibit will use art and multimedia storytelling to take the narratives of those most impacted to the places where Rikers remains unseen.
